# Connect Ashby

Ashby is an ATS integration that syncs candidate, offer, and compensation data to Pave via API key. Pave also receives real-time offer updates through webhooks.

## Before you connect

* You must have **Admin** access in Ashby.
* Pave must be listed as an available integration partner in your Ashby account.

## Connect Ashby to Pave


1. Log in to [Ashby](https://app.ashbyhq.com/signin).
2. Go to **Admin > Integrations > Integrations**.
3. Search for and select **Pave**.
4. Click **Create API key for Pave**. Save the API key somewhere safe. If you lose it, you will need to create a new one.
5. In Pave, go to **Connections** and find Ashby.
6. Paste the API key and click **Add**.
7. Pave verifies the connection immediately. If the key is valid, the integration shows as connected.

## Troubleshooting

**No offers appear after connecting** Pave only syncs offers with a status of "Waiting on candidate response." Offers still in approval or already accepted, rejected, or cancelled are not included.

**Some candidates are missing** Pave requires a valid email address and at least one compensation entry for each candidate. Candidates without both are excluded from the sync.

**Job title or employment type is missing** Ashby only returns job-level data for jobs with a status of "Open." If a job is in Draft, Closed, or Archived status, the title and employment type will not appear in Pave.

**Connection shows an error** The API key may have been revoked or may not have the correct read permissions. Create a new API key in Ashby for the Pave integration and re-enter it in Pave.

## After you connect

Pave syncs Ashby data on a regular schedule. For real-time offer updates, work with your CSE to set up webhooks. Once configured, offer events (created, updated, deleted) appear in Pave immediately.

* Email address
* First name, last name

**Offer and job fields**

* Job title
* Employment type (full-time, part-time, contractor, intern, temporary)
* Department
* Start date
* Offer status
* Offer date
* Location (city, state, country)
* Recruiter name, recruiter email
* Hourly pay indicator

**Compensation fields**

* Salary (base pay)
* Annual bonus
* Target annual bonus
* Commission
* Equity: options and RSUs (share count)
* Currency

### Additional data

* **Custom fields**: Supported. Ashby uses custom offer fields for secondary compensation like equity, bonuses, and commissions. Contact Pave to configure custom field mappings.
