# Connect ComputerShare

ComputerShare is an equity management integration that syncs grant data to Pave via CSV upload. You prepare a report in ComputerShare, export it as a CSV, and upload it in Pave.

## Before you connect

* You need access to equity grant reports in ComputerShare.
* Your CSV file must include these columns:

| Column | Description |
|----|----|
| Participant Local ID | A unique ID to identify the grant owner |
| First Name | First name of the grant owner |
| Last Name | Last name of the grant owner |
| Email Address | Email of the grant holder |
| Allocation Date | Date the grant was awarded |
| Vest Date | Date of the vesting event |
| Vehicle Currency | Currency of the grant |
| Closing Outstanding Units | Total number of shares granted |

## Connect ComputerShare to Pave


1. Export your equity grant data from ComputerShare as a CSV file. Include all columns listed above.
2. In Pave, go to **Connections** and find ComputerShare.
3. Click **Get started**. The file importer opens.
4. Upload your CSV file and map the columns to the expected fields. The importer validates the file and highlights any issues.
5. Review the mapped data. You can save a copy of your CSV by clicking **Export** on the last step.
6. Click **Submit** to complete the upload.

## Troubleshooting

**File importer shows validation errors** Check that your CSV includes all required columns and that the data formats are correct. Dates should be in a standard date format. Share counts and IDs should not contain special characters.

**Data appears incomplete after upload** If some grants are missing, verify that your ComputerShare export includes all employees and grant types. Each row in the CSV represents one vesting event for one grant. A single grant with multiple vesting dates will have multiple rows.

## After you connect

To update equity data, export a new CSV from ComputerShare and repeat the upload process. Each upload replaces the previous data.
