# Connect Deel

Deel is an HRIS integration that syncs employee, job, and compensation data to Pave via OAuth.

## Before you connect

* You must be an **Org Admin**, **IT Developer Admin**, or **Integrations Admin-People** in Deel to authorize the connection.

## Connect Deel to Pave


1. In Pave, go to **Connections** and find Deel.
2. Click **Authorize**. You will be redirected to Deel.
3. Log in to Deel and review the permissions Pave is requesting. Authorize the connection.
4. You will be redirected back to Pave. Go to **Connections** and verify the Deel integration shows as **In sync**.

> Variable pay (commission, variable targets) is not supported with the current version of the Deel API.

## Troubleshooting

**Connection shows as inaccessible** The authorization flow may not have completed. Go to **Connections**, find Deel, and click **Authorize** to restart the process. Make sure you have the required admin role in Deel.

**No data appears after connecting** Deel's API is rate-limited, so the initial sync may take longer for large organizations. If data still does not appear after several minutes, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration.

**Data is missing or incomplete** Pave syncs employees with active and completed contracts. If specific employees are missing, check that they have a contract in Deel with a status of "in progress" or "completed."

**Some employees show as contractors** Pave maps Deel contract types to employment types. Employees and EOR (Employer of Record) contracts are mapped as full-time. All other contract types (global payroll, commission-based, time-based) are mapped as contractors.

## Fields that sync

Custom mappings may apply to your account.

* First name, last name
* Work email
* Date of birth
* Job title, department, seniority level
* Employment type (derived from contract type)
* Manager name, manager email
* Start date, termination date
* Work location (country, state, zip, address)
* Base pay, currency
* Signing bonus, bonus

For employees with multiple contracts, Pave uses the most recent contract based on start date.

### Additional data

* **Compensation history**: Not supported. Pave syncs current compensation from the most recent contract.
* **Custom fields**: Supported. Pave syncs custom fields from Deel. Contact your Pave team to configure custom field mappings.
* **Benefits**: Not supported.
