# Connect Justworks

Justworks is an HRIS integration that syncs employee, job, compensation, and payroll data to Pave. Instead of an API key, you connect by adding Pave as a third-party administrator in Justworks.

## Before you connect

* You must be a **Justworks administrator** to add third-party admins.
* You will grant Pave view-only access to employee information and reporting. Pave does not make changes to your Justworks account.

## Connect Justworks to Pave


1. In Justworks, log in as an administrator.
2. Go to **Employees** under the Manage category on the left-side menu.
3. Select **Add**.
4. Expand the **Add third party or temp** dropdown and select **Add third-party**.
5. Enter the following values:
   * Admin access: **Yes**
   * First name: **Pave**
   * Last name: **Integrations**
   * Email: **integrations@pave.com**
   * Title: **Compensation Partner**
   * Start date: **Today**
   * Send invite: **Now**
6. For permissions, select:
   * **View all employee information**
   * **View invoices & reporting**
7. In Pave, go to **Connections** and find Justworks.
8. Click **Submit** to complete the connection.
9. Go to **Connections** and verify the Justworks integration shows as **In sync**.

## Troubleshooting

**Connection shows as inaccessible** Pave receives three emails from Justworks when you add the third-party admin: an account invitation, employee permissions, and reporting permissions. If any of these are missing, the connection may not complete. Verify that all three permissions were granted when adding the third-party admin.

**Data is missing or incomplete** The "View all employee information" permission gives Pave access to employee demographics and compensation data. The "View invoices & reporting" permission gives access to work history and payroll reports. If historical compensation data is missing, confirm that the "View invoices & reporting" permission is enabled.

* First name, last name, preferred name
* Work email
* Gender, ethnicity, date of birth
* Job title, department
* Employment type
* Manager name
* Start date, termination date
* Location (city, state, country, zip code)
* Base pay, pay frequency, currency
* Commission
* Bonus, variable pay target

### Additional data

* **Compensation history**: Supported. Pave syncs current and historical base pay, bonus, and commission from work history and payroll reports.
* **Custom fields**: Supported.
* **Benefits**: Supported.
