Cycle access permissions

What are cycle access permissions?

The new cycle permissions capability in Pave gives customers precise control over sensitive compensation cycles by restricting visibility to designated roles only. Unlike standard cycles (visible to all Compensation Planning users), these protected cycles remain confidential, enabling customers to manage executive compensation, acquisitions, or other sensitive adjustments with complete discretion within their Pave environment.

Why would I use cycle access permissions?

Below are some use cases for cycle specific permissions.

  • Streamlined Department Planning: Create department-specific cycles that remain visible only to relevant planners, eliminating confusion and maintaining a clean interface for all users.
  • Executive & Discretionary Awards: Conduct confidential executive compensation or special award cycles with complete privacy, ensuring sensitive decisions remain accessible only to authorized personnel.
  • M&A Integration: Manage acquisition-related compensation adjustments with the highest level of confidentiality, restricting visibility to only those directly involved in the integration process.

Configuring cycle access permissions

  1. Navigate to the cycle you would like to configure.

  2. Navigate to Configurations > General

  3. Under Cycle Access section, enable the toggle and select the role(s) that should see the cycle from the roles dropdown menu.

  4. Click Save
