Share Market Data externally

1min read

Share

You can share a snapshot of Market Data benchmarks with people outside your Pave account by generating a shareable link. Recipients can view the benchmarks without logging in to Pave.

Shared links capture a frozen view of the benchmark data at the time you create the link. When Pave updates its benchmarks with a new monthly data release, existing shared links continue to show the data from when they were created.

Create a shared link

  1. Search for a job family and level in the benchmark explorer.
  2. Apply the filters you want (location, company stage, industry, company ownership).
  3. Click Share in the top right of the benchmark results.

Pave generates a link and copies it to your clipboard. You can then send the link to anyone.

There is no configuration step. The link is created instantly with whatever filters and compensation types are currently applied to your view.

What the recipient sees

When someone opens a shared link, they see a read-only view of the benchmark data. The view includes:

  • The job family, level, and track you were viewing
  • All compensation data (table or chart format)
  • Filter labels showing the location, company stage, industry, and other filters you applied
  • Consistency Labels for each benchmark

Recipients can toggle between the table and chart view, but they cannot change the filters, search for a different role, or modify the data in any way.

Recipients do not need a Pave account to view a shared link.

When a shared link is no longer available

Shared links may be taken offline after a period of time. When a recipient opens an expired link, they see a message that the shared data is no longer available.

To share updated benchmarks, create a new shared link from the benchmark explorer.

Things to know

  • Any user with access to Market Data benchmarks can create shared links.
  • There is no limit to the number of shared links you can create.
  • You cannot manage or revoke shared links after creating them.
