**Opting in** allows the individual employee to opt in or out using their own notification preference modal.

**Opting out** overrides the employee preference and hides it from the preference modal. The associated notification will not send for any employee in the organization.

The new Notifications tab is hidden behind a new permission and can be made available to any role.
