What is the company profile?
Your company profile provides Pave with firmographic information about your organization: your industry, size, location, and financial details. Pave uses this information to improve the relevance of your Market Data benchmarks by matching you with comparable companies.
When your profile is incomplete or out of date, an Incomplete indicator appears on the company profile page. You may also receive an email asking you to review and update your information.
You need admin access to edit your company profile. Non-admin users cannot access this page.
Company overview
The company overview section captures basic information about your organization.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Company name | Your organization's name |
| Industry | Your primary and secondary industry classifications. Start typing to search available industries. |
| Classification | Whether your company is private, public, or other |
| Source of funding (private and other companies) | Your primary funding source |
| Stock information (public companies) | Your stock exchange and ticker details |
| HQ location | Your headquarters city. Start typing to search, or select Remote if your company does not have a physical headquarters. |
Financial profile
The financial profile section collects information about your company's size and financial position. The fields you see depend on your company's classification and industry.
| Field | When it appears |
|---|---|
| Revenue range (TTM) | All companies except those in the Financial Services industry |
| Valuation range (private) or Market cap range (public) | All companies |
| Employee headcount range | All companies |
| Capital raised range | Private companies only |
Each field uses a range selector rather than an exact value. Choose the range that best represents your company's current position.
Public companies
For public companies, some fields are locked and pre-populated from verified public sources. These fields display a lock icon and cannot be edited.
Financial Services companies
If your industry is set to Financial Services, the revenue, valuation, and capital raised fields are hidden. These metrics are not applicable to financial services firms.
Private Equity-backed companies
If your funding source is Private Equity, the valuation and capital raised fields are marked as optional.
If your company does not fit the standard profile
Some organizations (for example, venture capital firms, partnerships, or holding companies) may not fit the standard profile structure. If this applies to your company, select Our company info is structured differently at the bottom of the page.
