Configure worksheet settings
This page controls what planners see and can do in the worksheet during a comp cycle. Changes to the six toggles take effect after you click Save (top right). Changes to the three comparison metric settings save immediately via their own modals. Navigating away with unsaved toggle changes will prompt a warning.
An Audit log button in the top right lets you review a timestamped history of every change made to these settings.
Worksheet setup
These four toggles are display and input options for planners. All are off by default. Enable them to make the option available. Planners cannot turn them on themselves.
Monthly salaries: Allows planners to view salary values converted to a monthly amount. The underlying data stays annual. This is a display option only.
Hourly salary raises: Allows planners to view salaries in hourly values. A display option only.
Employee compensation history: Shows a compensation history timeline in the employee detail panel. Gives planners context on past changes before making decisions for the current cycle.
Percent toggle: Adds the ability for planners to view and enter raise values as percentages in addition to flat currency amounts.
Worksheet features
Worksheet returns (Beta): When enabled, planners can return an employee's row to a previous planner in their approval chain. Useful when a manager needs additional context or sign-off before finalizing their input. This feature is in beta and is only visible when enabled for your organization.
AI-generated employee summaries: When enabled, a short AI-written summary is generated for each employee in the cycle, surfacing key context, outcomes, and comments. The summary appears in the employee detail view. Planners only see summaries for employees and data they already have access to.
Priority Sort: An AI-powered sort that ranks employees by who needs the most attention. This setting links out to the Smart Features tab to configure Priority Sort factors and weights. There is no toggle here. Configuration happens entirely in Smart Features.
Comparison metrics
These three settings shape the context planners see when reviewing individual employees. Each is configured through its own modal (click Edit on the row) and saves immediately when you confirm in the modal. They are not affected by the main Save button on the page.
The current selection is shown below each row title. If nothing has been configured yet, it displays "None selected."
Primary band positioning column: Sets which column is used as the main reference for where an employee sits relative to their comp band. This column is highlighted in the employee detail view. Click Edit to choose from the available options using a single-select radio list:
- New Compa Ratio
- New Total Cash Compa Ratio
- New R/P (Range Penetration)
- New R/P (Total Cash)
- None
- Any custom band positioning columns configured for this cycle may also appear
If none of these columns have been set up yet, an alert will appear in the modal directing you to the Columns configuration tab before this setting can be used.
Primary performance column: Sets which column represents performance for use in comparison views and filters within the worksheet. Click Edit to choose from a single-select radio list. Options include the built-in Performance column (if set up), any custom performance metric columns, and None. If the Performance column has not been set up, it will appear as disabled with a tooltip explaining it must be configured first.
Peers dashboard filters: Defines the dimensions used to group peers for the peer comparison view in the employee detail panel (for example, level, department, or location). Click Edit to select one or more dimensions using checkboxes. Options are drawn from text-type columns configured for this cycle. If no such columns exist, the modal will show "No options available" and link to the Columns configuration tab.
