Key features
Cycle Outcomes offers two powerful analytical perspectives:
- Performance: Gain crystal-clear visibility into both overall metrics and proportional breakdowns with intuitive visualizations that instantly answer your critical questions:
- What is the distribution of performance ratings across my organization?
- How many employees are advancing through promotions, both in absolute numbers and percentages?
- What is the correlation between performance ratings and compensation adjustments?
- Post Cycle Trends: Uncover the strategic impact of your compensation decisions with comprehensive trend analysis that reveals:
- How effectively your compensation strategy positions high performers within their bands compared to mid and low performers
- Potential outliers whose range positioning may not align with their performance assessment
- Progress toward key compensation objectives, such as increasing the percentage of employees positioned appropriately within their bands
Performance Distribution

Shows the average dollar and percent raise by performance rating.
-
View by: Choose the compensation program that you want to view in the graph
-
Group by: Add any secondary dimension to the chart’s grouping. For example, you can group by level to view average increase by performance rating, broken down by employee
level. -
Other filters: You can filter down to any employee segment using the filter options under More. You can also view promoted or non-promoted populations in isolation using the left-most filter.
Performance vs. Compa-Ratio
Visualizes the distribution of employees by compa-ratio (or range penetration) and performance rating. A graph with diagonal shading towards to upper right corner would reflect a pay for performance program design. Compare pre-cycle and post-cycle states side-by-side to instantly measure how your compensation decisions have strengthened performance alignment across the organization.
Filters: View promoted or non-promoted cohorts, or any other segment to refine your analysis further.
Total Cash Band Adherence
Compare the percent of employees that are within their compensation range before and after the cycle, as well as a department-specific breakdown.
View Bands by [Department]
Visualize employee distribution within each compensation range. Each employee is color-coded based on their performance rating, making it easier to pinpoint outliers.
