What it is

Advanced and saved filters allow you to easily identify problematic bands using filter criteria. You can save filters to easily reference problematic bands and share that saved filtered view with others to address those bands.

Advanced and saved filters can be used on a draft, merit, or live band set. The filters will be specific to that band set, and will not be visible on other band sets or by other account holders.

This article will walk you through how to:

  • Save basic filters
  • Save advanced filters
  • Manage your saved filters
  • Share filtered views

How it works

  • There are different types of filters that can be saved:
    • Basic filters
    • Advanced and basic filters

To save basic filters

Basic filters use criteria associated with your band set, like function, ladder, family, level, rank.

  • Select the basic filters you’d like to use.

  • Select “Save Filters”

  • Name the Saved Filter and press “Save”

  • You will see the saved filter in blue applied to your bands under “Filters: My recently saved filters”

To save advanced filters or advanced and basic filters

Advanced filters allow you to filter on calculated columns, such as delta from benchmark, midpoint progression, number of employees below band, and more. You can use a variety of equations (less than, greater than or equal to, etc.) for different pay types and use use and/or criteria to identify bands.

To learn more about how to turn on and manage calculated columns, see here.

Steps to take to apply advanced filters:

  • Select basic filters and apply (if any)

  • Select advanced filters

  • Name and save the filter

  • Manage and edit the saved filters as described above under “Save Basic Filters”

  • To turn off the choose the “x” next to recently saved filters or select “clear all”

Managing saved filters

  • To edit your saved filters, click on “Manage”

  • You will see “My saved filters” sidepeek on the right hand side of the page. You can edit the filter criteria here to update this saved filter - such as the filter name and filter criteria. If you delete the filter, it will be removed as a saved filter.

Sharing a filtered view

  • When viewing a saved filter, you can share a filtered view by copying the URL.
  • When you share that filter view with another Pave account holder, they will only be able to view the bands and columns they have access to.
  • Note: this saved filter is only available on this band set and in your Pave account, however the shared filtered view will show the same bands as are in this filter
