[Legacy] Setting up Company Job Architecture
Setting up HRIS Matchers:
In order for employee matching to work, we need to setup the HRIS matching methodology. This is how the Pave system knows which job an employee matches to.
Pave has four methodologies for HRIS matching:
- Job Code
- Family + Level
- Title + Level
- Title
The correct methodology will depend on the company’s HRIS setup. It’s critical to understand how the customer thinks about identifying a job within their HRIS so that we can set up employee matching properly.
The Company Job Architecture CSV Upload:
The most straightforward way to import a company’s job architecture is via CSV upload.
To update Company Job Architecture, you can upload via the Job Manager CSV upload flow:
Follow the instructions in the OneSchema flow. The required and optional fields are:
- Required:
- Function
- Ladder
- Ladder Rank
- HRIS Matchers (Job Code, Family + Level, Title + Level, Title)
- Optional:
- Ladder Track
- Display Family
- Display Title
- Display Level
- Description (12,000 characters max)
:::info NOTE: A unique Display Family, Display Level, and Ladder Track ARE required if you are using Market Data Mapping (all Market Pricing customers), but are not required to upload Job Architecture.
:::
Setting Up HRIS Matchers with Multiple HRIS:
Customers can map multiple of their HRIS jobs to a job in Pave. Depending on which HRIS matchers they use, this may look like:
- Pave Job: Function - Ladder - Ladder Rank
- HRIS Job Code 1
- HRIS Job Code 2
- Pave Job: Function - Ladder - Ladder Rank
- HRIS Title & Level 1
- HRIS Title & Level 2
To update Company Job Architecture, you can upload via the Job Manager CSV upload flow:
*Before uploading, ensure each unique HRIS job code is in on a separate line in the csv* Once the CSV is uploaded, you can view the matches from both HR systems in the Job Manager.
To access the Job Sidepeek panel, click on a job row in the table. The Job Sidepeek panel shows the specific HRIS matchers matching to the job and the employees with those different HRIS matchers matching to the job
The next time a band set is generated or uploaded, your employees will match to the set HRIS matchers.
*The multiple HRIS families, levels, titles, or job codes associated with each band will not be in the band upload template or in those columns in the band set.*
