Manage company settings

What are company settings?

Company settings define your organization's basic information in Pave: your company name, company type, default currency, and stock or equity details. These settings affect how data appears across all Pave products.

To manage company settings, go to Settings > Company Info. You need edit access to the Settings product section in your role to make changes. Users with view-only access can see the settings but cannot modify them.

Company name and type

The Company name field sets the name displayed throughout Pave.

The Company type dropdown determines which financial fields appear on the rest of the page. Choose Private or Public based on your company's classification. Changing this value updates the page to show the relevant fields for that company type.

Currency

The Currency dropdown sets the default currency used across Pave products. This affects how compensation data, benchmarks, and other monetary values are displayed.

Stock information (public companies)

If your company type is set to Public, the following fields appear:

FieldDescription
Stock ticker symbolYour company's ticker symbol (for example, AAPL)
Stock exchangeThe exchange where your stock is listed
Share price calculation intervalHow Pave calculates your share price for equity valuations

The share price calculation interval determines the time window Pave uses to calculate your stock's value. Available options:

IntervalWhat it uses
DailyThe most recent closing price
Trailing 5 Day AverageThe average closing price over the last 5 trading days
Trailing 20 Day AverageThe average closing price over the last 20 trading days
Trailing 60 Day AverageThe average closing price over the last 60 trading days
Trailing 90 Day AverageThe average closing price over the last 90 trading days

A live preview of the calculated share price appears on the page so you can verify the result before saving.

Equity information (private companies)

If your company type is set to Private, the following fields appear:

Current exercise price (optional): The current price per share used to calculate the spread on employee stock options.

Valuation history: A table where you record your company's valuation over time. Each row includes:

  • Date: When the valuation was effective
  • Share price: The price per share at that date
  • Company valuation: The total company valuation at that date

You can add multiple rows to track valuation changes over time. Pave uses the most recent entry to calculate equity values in products like Total Rewards and Compensation Planning.

Things to know

  • Only users with edit access to the Settings product section can modify company settings. If you see the page but cannot make changes, your role has view-only access. Ask an admin to update your role permissions if you need to make edits.
  • Changing your company name here updates it across all Pave products. Coordinate with your Pave admin before making name changes, as this can affect how your organization appears to other users.
  • An admin must update share price or valuation history from this page. These fields cannot be modified by non-admin users.
  • Company settings are separate from your company profile, which contains firmographic information used for Market Data benchmarking. See [Complete your company profile] for details.
