Overview
Employee distributions allows you to view where your employees sit within their band. To view this information, click on the graph icon next to Base Pay Range or Variable Pay Range.
Note: Employee distributions are only supported for new Live Band Sets and are not supported on any Merit Cycle Sets, draft sets, or legacy Live Band sets. Employee distributions are only supported for Base Pay and Variable Pay.
Once you click on the graph icon, you’ll see points and clusters on any band with matched employees.
A point on the band indicates that there only exists one employee at that section of the range. A tooltip upon hover will display the base pay and compa ratio of that employee.
A cluster on the band will indicate when more than one employee exists at that section of the range. You will see the average base pay or compa ratio of those employees.
Note: there may be times a cluster is on the edge of a band and includes both employees within the band and outside of the band. To see specific positions, you can drill down to see the employees’ exact positioning in the Band Details view.
If you do not see any points or clusters on a band, you either do not have access to view employees on that band or the band has no matched employees.

Access
You will only be able to see points and clusters for employees you have access to in Team View. For example, if you have access to view “Reports Only” in Team View but have access to view All bands in Band Manager, you will be able to view all bands but will only see the employee distribution of your reports.
A user with Band Viewer access to view all bands within Function: Business Operations but only Team View access to “Reports Only” would see the following:
Their four M3 reports M3 in New York and San Francisco are displayed, but the employees in M6 are hidden from view. However, they can still view the bands for all levels within Function: Business Operations.
