What is it?
For Total Rewards portals and Visual Offer Letters, total compensation is now displayed in a stacked bar chart form. The compensation types each have their own color that makes up the total compensation for each year’s bar. This is an improvement on the previous donut visualization because it gives a more holistic view of total compensation over time. The stacked bar chart has feature parity with the previous layout as well as some exciting new functionality!
*The stacked bar chart is optional and can be deactivated from the Communicate tab*
Configuring Timeline dates
From the Communicate tab found in the platform Settings, you can set the following time configurations for the timeline.
- Start of timeline
- Begin at employees start date
- Begin at earliest compensation
- Custom
- End of timeline
Hiding Compensation Types
When hovering your mouse over the compensation type, an eye icon will appear. By clicking on the eye icon next to the compensation type it will be hidden from the total compensation calculation. The example below shows RSUs being hidden. You will notice the eye icon has a line through it, signifying that the compensation type is being hidden.
Unified Equity Slider
With the stacked bar chart the sliding scale will now apply to all types of equity that make up the employee’s total compensation. This means that if an employee has a compensation package that includes multiple types of equity, when they adjust the single slider it will impact all equity calculations.
Sticky Header
As you scroll down the page to view the individual components of your compensation package, you will see a sticky header at the top of your browser. This is beneficial so that you can continue to see your total compensation, adjust equity sliding scale inputs, and jump to various compensation types (by clicking on that compensation type’s name) no matter where you are in your portal.
Adjusting the order of Compensation Types
This is now possible! Whether you’d like benefits to be shown first, or salary to be shown last, you can now control the order of your compensation types. If you would like to reorder your compensation types please reach out to your Implementation Manager or Customer Success Manager.
