Connect Workday ATS

Workday ATS is an ATS integration that syncs candidate, offer, and compensation data to Pave using Workday's Report as a Service (RaaS). This is a separate integration from the Workday HRIS connection.

Before you connect

  • You must have Report Writer permissions in your Workday tenant.
  • You will need to create a custom report and an Integration System User (ISU) in Workday before connecting. Detailed instructions are available as a downloadable Excel file on the Workday ATS connection page in Pave.

Connect Workday ATS to Pave

Step 1: Create a custom report in Workday

  1. In Workday, search for Create Custom Report.
  2. Choose report type Advanced and check Web service enabled.
  3. Set the data source to Active and Renegotiated Offer/Employment Agreement Events (or an equivalent data source that includes the required fields).
  4. Add the following fields to the report:
    • Candidate first name
    • Candidate last name
    • Candidate email
    • Primary recruiter name
    • Primary recruiter email
    • Job title
    • Start date
    • Location
    • Country
    • Currency
    • Base pay
    • Commission
    • Bonuses
    • Equity grant
  5. Save the report and note the JSON URL (the RaaS endpoint).

Step 2: Create an Integration System User

  1. In Workday, create an Integration System User (ISU).
  2. Set the password to non-expiring.
  3. Assign the ISU the security domains required to access the custom report.
  4. Grant the ISU access to the report you created in Step 1.

Step 3: Enter credentials in Pave

  1. In Pave, go to Connections and find Workday ATS.
  2. Enter the ISU username and password.
  3. Enter the JSON URL for the custom report.
  4. Click Add. Pave verifies the connection immediately.

Troubleshooting

Connection fails on submit Verify that the JSON URL is correct and accessible. Confirm the ISU has the required security domain access and that the password has not expired.

No offers appear after connecting The custom report must include candidates in the Offer stage. Pave filters out candidates without an email address or compensation data. Confirm the report data source includes active offer records.

Some fields are missing Check that the custom report includes all required fields listed in Step 1. If a field is not in the report, it will not sync to Pave.

Offers disappear from Pave Offers are hidden when the candidate's status changes to "Declined by Candidate" or "Rejected," when the offer is no longer in the nightly report data, or when the offer has not been updated in over 60 days.

After you connect

Pave syncs Workday ATS data on a nightly schedule. For real-time offer updates, work with your CSE to set up a Workday Outbound EIB (Enterprise Integration Builder) that pushes individual offers to Pave as candidates move to the Offer stage.
