HRIS integrations

HRIS integrations sync employee, job, and compensation data from your HR system into Pave. This is the foundational integration type. Most Pave features (Compensation Planning, Market Data, Team View, Total Rewards) depend on HRIS data to function.

What data syncs

Pave pulls a standard set of fields from every HRIS provider:

• Employee details: Name, work email, employee ID, gender, date of birth
• Job information: Title, department, division, level, job family, manager, employment type (full-time, part-time, contractor, intern)
• Location: City, state, country
• Compensation: Base salary, currency, target bonus, target commission, signing bonus, relocation bonus
• Dates: Start date, termination date

Some providers also support:

• Compensation history: Prior salary records (not all providers offer this)
• Custom fields: Additional fields specific to your HRIS configuration (not all providers offer this)
• Benefits data: Benefit plan details (not all providers offer this)

How HRIS data is used in Pave

• Compensation Planning: Employee rosters, organizational structure, and current compensation form the foundation of merit cycles.
• Market Data: Job titles, levels, and locations are used to match employees against market benchmarks.
• Market Pricing: Employee compensation data populates pay bands and pay zone analysis.
• Team View: Displays employee profiles with job, compensation, and organizational data.
• Total Rewards: Shows individual employees their complete compensation breakdown.

Connection methods

The connection method depends on your provider. Across HRIS integrations, Pave supports:

• OAuth: You authorize Pave in your HRIS and data syncs automatically (for example, Rippling, Gusto).
• API credentials: You provide an API key or service account credentials from your HRIS (for example, Personio, Namely).
• SFTP: Your HRIS delivers report files to a secure file transfer location that Pave reads from (for example, Workday SFTP, ADP).
• Report as a Service (RaaS): Pave pulls data from a report URL you configure in your HRIS (for example, Workday RaaS).
